The Pumpkin Patch

Last week I took Rae to the pumpkin patch. We went last year but she was way too small to remember. This time it was so much fun to see her interested and excited to explore. But I'd have to say that the best part was watching how cute she was with the goats and lambs in the petting zoo.

For her birthday, my mom and dad bought her this adorable Paul Frank sweatshirt. It is size 2T but of course it fits my little chunker.

This past Saturday we had a little birthday party for Rae. It was a blast! I seriously can't believe how loved our little girl is. Thank you everyone for loving us and for loving our baby!

August 29th, 2009, Raegan Lynn Rutenbar turned 1. I can't even believe it. Rae has definitely grown and is becoming such an independent young lady. I seriously have so much fun with her everyday and she makes me laugh non-stop. Even when I am trying to tell her not to do something, like BITE me, she still has a smile on her face. I can't believe how much she already understands and how quickly she learns new things. It is so fun to watch her and watch her experience things for the first time. I am so blessed to be her mama.

So much has been happening the last two week,s I am ashamed I haven't blogged about it. So as usual, here are a bunch of pics for you to enjoy.

The day started with Rae opening her very first ever birthday card from her Grammy.

Then we went over to Poppi and Lola's house (my parents) for lunch. Bumper's girlfriend Dana got her mini cupcakes that she liked very much.

Then we went over to The Rutenbar's for more birthday celebrations! She had more cupcake and didn't want it to end. Neither did her cousin Luke!

I can't believe that Raegan is almost one whole year old. That is crazy. Time has seriously flown by so fast and sometimes I wish it would slow down. Though the year has gone by quickly, it has been so much fun. Everyday I am amazed how aware she is and how much she understands. Not only that, she has very good taste in music. Her laugh makes me laugh so hard and her smile is adorable. I know it has been a while since I have blogged, so here are some pics to catch you up on what we have been up to.

One night I was making dinner and found Kyle teaching Raegan how to play poker. I have to admit, it was really cute!

On Wednesday, I took Rae to Chuck E. Cheese for the very first time. She absolutely loved it. It was super fun!

Hunter was so sweet and got Raegan a princess crown with his winnings. I have to admit that I think Raegan is like her mother and doesn't love the princess look so much.

Vacay 2009

Last week we had the opportunity to go with my family to Lake Mead for a week long vacation. It was so much fun! It was Raegan's first time on the boat and she loved it. She was such a happy baby and such a trooper for keeping up with all of us. I was a little afraid since she is walking and kinda all of over the place, but she was an angel. I think she is definitely a lake baby!

I think Raegan's favorite thing was driving the boat with her Poppi. I have to admit that was my favorite thing as a kid too!

Since we were out on the lake all day, Raegan didn't get her usual naptime that she is used to. But we made due.

I know it has been awhile since I last posted. So much is going on and Raegan is continually growing and trying new things. Like last week we went to our favorite coffee shop, "Peets Coffee and Tea". It is pretty much the only coffee that the whole Dorman family drinks. Well, it was Kids Fun Day and of course we would attend. They had face painting, coloring, and oh yeah, my least favorite part, there was a bird there. I am not a fan of birds. Anyway, Raegan had her very first face painting experience. Enjoy!

Frazier Park

This past Wednesday we went up to Frazier Park to see my cousin graduate from 8th grade. You may be wondering where on earth Frazier Park might be. It is past Six Flags in the Grape Vine. It was a very long trip but it was such a fun day. Raegan got to play with puppy labs, horses, my cousins, and got to have her first campfire experience. It was so much fun. I can't believe summer is almost here. Raegan is coming up on 9 months. So crazy. This summer we are going on vacation to Lake Mead. It will be Raegan's first lake trip and I can't wait. My parents bought her very own life vest. She wasn't too excited about it but I think it is perfect. She is going to love the lake.

Today was one of the happiest days of my life. Yes, that's right. I finally hung pictures in our house. Choosing what pictures to print, what size to make them, what frame to frame them in, where to hang them, and worst of all "ARE THEY LEVEL?"... Finally my good friend Lori help me execute the task. So I know it has been a really long time since the last post, but I am about to catch you up on everything that has been going on.

There are just so many good ones that I wish I could post all of my them but I think I had over 120 favorites. It's hard to limit favorites when the photographer is just so good!

Raegan's first Easter was so fun. Grammy got Raegan and her cousin Harper matching Easter dresses. They looked so cute.

This past Friday we just got back from an awesome vacation in Virginia. We got to spend a whole week with our friends Ryan and Brittany Holladay. It was so much fun! Raegan did great on the plane ride out. The trip was so much fun. It was a big trip for Rae. We got to go to Washington D.C. for a day and then the next day went to an Orioles game in Baltimore. We had a blast and were sad to come home.

When we first got to D.C., we immediately got stuck in a down pour. It was quite funny. We ran to take cover in a little doorway of the Air and Space Museum. We were soaking wet but had to laugh about it.

So all in all, we have been very busy but have been doing great. Raegan is growing so fast. She is saying "Dada dada" non stop and is so fun. She has such a little sense of humor. She is seriously the cutest little baby I have ever seen.

On Friday we took Raegan to the beach for the first time. It was so much fun. She loved playing in the sand and eating it too. I can't believe she is already 7 months old. It is so crazy. Time has really flown by. She is almost crawling, which I am kindof hoping doesn't happen too soon because we have not baby proofed anything. I can't say how much I love being her mommy though. She makes me laugh all the time and her smile is the cutest thing I have ever seen.

I know it has been awhile since I last posted. Life has been a bit crazy. Rae is already 6 months and over 15 pounds. She even has 3 adorable little teeth grown in and has a fourth one on the way. A couple of weeks ago Uncle Trevor and Aunt Michele were out from Flagstaff. We are so excited that they are moving back to Cali. They are going to live all but 15 mins away. We are so excited. Though I don't enjoy that my husband is an avid Raiders fan, I think that I am more scared of the idea that he could make our daughter a fan as well. I mean, the Raiders weren't even playing in the Super Bowl and he still makes it known that he is a fan. He had her little jersey laid out for almost two weeks.

They did look pretty darn cute though!

Yesterday we took Raegan in the pool for the first time. I was so excited about it because I love swimming and being in the water. At first she was a little scared but after a few minutes she loved it!

Our friends Brittany and Ryan were in town for the holidays for 3 weeks. Since they live in Virginia we don't get to see them often, so it was so much fun. Anyway, on their last night here we had dinner over at Brittany's parents house. The food was excellent by the way. After dinner Kyle got this GREAT idea to put our child on the Lazy Susan. Of course she loved it!

Rice Cereal

Raegan is now over 4 months old. So crazy! She is getting so big. We had such a fun Christmas with her and all the fam. She got lots of fun toys from both sets of grandparents. I would say she is super spoiled! Just yesterday we introduced rice cereal to Rae. I was excited for this moment because she is a little piggy and never seems to get full. It was so cute when she took her first spoon full. She didn't really get it but today she did a lot better and really enjoyed it! Yay for rice cereal!

Ready for Winter

Raegan is getting so big. She is 16 weeks today. We can't believe how fast time has flown by. It is crazy. She is smiling a ton and talking a whole lot too. She already has such a cute little personality. We are excited for her first Christmas. We got a little christmas tree but she isn't really interested in it. Oh well. Since it is getting pretty cold, my mom bought Raegan some adorable little hats. Enjoy!

I tend to be somewhat of a worry-wart at times and it seems that little Raegan has that same quality. It makes us laugh though. It seems like she is always analyzing or having really deep thoughts about what is going on around her.

I think she is still a little young for her Bumbo seat but she seems to enjoy it. Thank you DeYoung family! We are already putting it to great use!

This past Saturday we had a little photo session with our wonderful friends and amzaing photographers Mary and Adam Rosenbaum. We decided to do a Christmas card this year since we have this cute little kid now. It was really fun. Raegan did pretty good, mostly because Adam kept her well entertained by waving the light reflecter in front of her face. Who needs toys when you have a light reflecter! She loved it. Raegan was a trooper and was so cute in her little Blue and White Poka Dot dress. Thanks Adam and Mary! You guys are the best!

Our day at The Great Park

This past Saturday we went with a few of our friends to check out The Great Park in Irvine. They were having a Harvest Festival. (I think that is what you call it.) Anyway, Raegan of course was her adorable little self.

Catching Up

So since I am kind of behind on posting about little Raegan and how she is doing, I will try and catch you up. Here is our first Family Pic.Raegan was 7 pounds 2 ounces. She was so cute the moment she came out.
She has been so fun since the moment she got home.

When she was 5 weeks I decided it was time for Raegan to meet her Uncle Trev and Aunt Michele. Ashley, Raegan and I flew to Phoenix and then up to Flagstaff, AZ. She was an angel the whole time. It was so much fun and Raegan loved spending time with her Aunts, Uncle, and Cousins (meaning the dogs).

Kyle and I have been getting pretty well adjusted to our new addition. I am getting used to the lack of sleep and Kyle is pretty much getting the same amount of sleep he got before the baby got here. haha. We have been loving every min with our baby girl. She already is smiling a ton and has so much personality.
She takes after her father...she loves watching TV.Last night we went to the Pumpkin patch with Kyle's family. It was really fun watching Lukey (our nephew) having so much fun around the pumpkin patch. I can't wait until Raegan gets to the age where she will be excited like that. After the pumpkin patch we went out to dinner. Here she is with her Uncle Jake and cousin Luke.

I am not sure yet what Rae will be for Halloween but whatever we decided I know she is going to be darn cute.
